Before each match in CS:GO, there’s a warmup period. Some players use this time to buy items. Others use it to mess around with their friends. It’s a great buffer between games if some players need a toilet break, but sometimes you need to turn it off and skip it entirely. In this guide, we’ll cover how you can end CS:GO warmup early or skip it entirely. What follows is our explanation of how to end or skip the warmup in CS:GO.
If you want to end or skip the warmup in CS:GO, the best way to do so is to use console commands. All you have to do is open the Developer Console and input one of the commands below that will allow you to bypass the warmup entirely.
End/Skip CS:GO Warmup Command
Since the warmup can last anything between 5 and 9999 seconds, it’s something that you need to be able to skip. The first thing you’ll need to do before you even use the commands below is to ensure that the Developer Console is enabled.
If you need to know how to enable the Developer Console in your game, find out how in our guide.
Now that you know how to open the Developer Console, it’s time to walk through all of the commands that you can use in the game. These will apply to both online games with friends and others in multiplayer. They will also work if you’re playing a game offline with bots. However you want to play, these commands have got you covered.
There are a few different commands to use. We’ll provide you with an explanation of each, so you know which one to use in your next match.
End the Warmup
Using this command, you can simply end the warmup. Regardless of whatever else is going on, the warmup will end when you enter this command into the Developer Console.
Shorten the Warmup
This command is slightly different from the one above. Instead of ending the warmup straight away, you can choose the number of seconds to set it to. Simply replace ‘SECONDS’ with the number of seconds you’d like to shorten the warmup to. For example, if the warmup is usually 60 seconds, you can use this command to shorten it to 30 seconds by entering the following command, ‘mp_warmuptime 30′.
However, standard warmup time should be set to 25.
Set Warmup to 10 Seconds
As we’ve mentioned above, you can choose what time you want to set the warmup to. This is a quick code for the most common time that most players want to set the warmup to, 10 seconds. So if you and your teammates are always resetting the warmup timer to 10 seconds or begging for it to go by faster, this is the command for you.
End Warmup According to Player Count
There are loads of different requirements that you can put on the warmup timer. One of those is the number of players connected to the game. With this command, you can set the warmup to end after a specific number of players have joined the game. For example, if you wanted to end the warmup after 10 players have joined, you would use the command as follows.
As you can see, all you need to do is replace ‘PLAYERS’ with the number of players you want to be connected when the warmup triggers to end.
End Warmup When 5 Players Connect

This command is for the most common number of player connections that players link to ending the warmup. This is just a quick command for you to grab so that you can copy and paste it into your Developer Console.
