Was he the QB of the team that beat Belle Chasse in the dome after being down 17-0 at half?
Yea. That whole backfield was insane. Brad was the nicest guy. Really sad everything he went through

PBS kicked an onside kick following halftime, hit a BC player in the chest, but he dropped it and parkview picked it up and proceeded to whoop us 60something to 19

If Parkview Baptist School could choose one person that signified what the school wanted its students to represent spiritually, academically, and athletically, it would be Brad Booth, beyond the shadow of a doubt.

Yep that’s him... BC was up 19-6 at half

I'll never forget that game. We lost to BC earlier in the playoffs and a group of us went to the game. At half we kept thinking, 'man we may have lost to the state champ'. Then PBS came out and absolutely blew them away in the second half. I believe they set all kinds of scoring records.

Honoring Brad Booth
Red Mountain Grace Family,
Last night, 7 years into the battle, Brad Booth closed his eyes for the final time and won his fight with cancer. He walked right through the celestial gate and heard the words, “well done, good and faithful servant.” His cancer was gone, all things were made new, and I cannot imagine the beauty he beheld.
If you’ve been around Red Mountain Grace very long, you’ve heard the name, Brad Booth. I first met Brad in 2013, after mutual friends brought us together over coffee. My life has not been the same since. Brad was in a remissive state at the time, having been through treatment in Houston over the previous 2 years. He wanted to help others that were in medical crisis in Birmingham. Why? Because Brad had been in their shoes, and wanted to shine a light of hope into seemingly hopeless situations. Brad quickly became the heartbeat of Red Mountain Grace. He was real, raw, gentle, passionate, intelligent, humble, steadfast, and loving. He poured his all into the spread of the Gospel through Red Mountain Grace, and many experienced hope for the first time through his words and deeds.
Brad was the kind of guy people wanted to be around. He was my dearest friend. I miss him greatly, a feeling I share with so many. We were all blessed richly from having been touched by his life. We learned a lot from Brad. We learned what his favorite verse, Phillipians 1:20, truly looked like in the 21st century life. “…as it is my eager expectation and hope that I will not be at all ashamed, but that with full courage now as always Christ will be honored in my body, whether by life or by death.” Brad decided on this “favorite verse” well before a cancer diagnosis ever entered the picture. He showed us that true faith comes from knowing and abiding in God. Brad taught us to be intentional with our lives. Just look at the impact he had on this world in the short time he was here. I could continue with the many lessons we learned from Brad, but I think that most can be summed up into a single word… LOVE. He looked at me the last time we spoke, his daughter Nola in his arms, and said “we were put on this earth to love em’, Jason.” So, today, in honor of our friend, lets love. Let’s look at our family, friends, colleagues, even perfect strangers, and think the very best of them. Brad knew this short time on earth was a gift. He decided not to store his treasures in the temporary pleasures of this world, but in the eternal kingdom to come. Oh death, where is your victory? Oh death, where is your sting? Brad’s light shines on.
In Christ,
Yukon Brad Booth
